Santiago Basket (United Cup) signed experienced 36-year old American power forward Lorenzo Davis (208-109kg-83, college: Mountain State). He started the season at Abaco Strong in Bahamas NPBA. In four games he had very impressive stats: 19.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3spg this season.

In 2008 (three years after he left the college) Davis was drafted by Albuquerque Thunderbirds (D-League) in eighth round (115th overall).

He attended Mountain State (NAIA) until 2005 and it is his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Davis was voted USBasket.com All-UBA Center of the Year back in 2011.

He is quite experienced player. Davis has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Dominican Rep., Iraq (Nift Al-Janoub), Mexico, Romania (Sibiu), Taiwan (Taiwan Mobile), IBL (Las Vegas P.), Dominican Republic (Capitanes), PBL (Rochester RazorSharks) and UBA (GIE Maile Matrix, Fort Worth F.I.R.M., Metro Atlanta, Houston Havok and Indianapolis G.).

Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league on the market.
He could be described: Lorenzo is a great athlete and shot blocker. On top of a 39.4 inch vertical leap he has a very good mix of strength, athleticism and quickness... Excellent work ethic... Very aggressive... Can put the ball on the floor... Great first step... Good mid-range shot... A dunk waiting to happen... Runs the floor like very few other big men... Great hands... And also can guard 2-5.
